Customer Engineering Manager

  • Manage a team of Post Sales Engineers responsible for customer implementation and ongoing technical enablement
  • Establish programs to support customer requirements around security risk assessment and measurement
  • Address technical challenges with creative solutions by providing consultative insight on security monitoring best practices
  • Be the voice of the customer by capturing feature requests and general feedback to share with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams
  • Drive adoption by understanding customers’ short-term requirements, while mapping out broader strategic security goals and areas where Threat Stack can support these initiatives


  • Experience managing a customer-facing engineering, professional services, or implementation team
  • Experience building a customer onboarding or implementation program
  • Hands-on experience with security tools such as IDS, SIEM, firewalls, and anti-malware
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Chef, Puppet, and Ansible as well as public cloud providers like AWS
  • Comfortable committing to a team quota and supporting revenue-influencing activity
  • Experience in project management or post-sales implementation role a plus
  • Successful performance in a startup environment is a substantial plus
  • Computer Science degree desirable
