The award was given as part of BBJ’s ninth-annual CFO of the Year Awards program which honors “CFOs who make a difference in their companies and organizations”. As part of a Q&A with BBJ, Kevin offered the following insights into the evolving and expanding role of a CFO: “CFOs will continue to be more involved in supporting and developing strategy and guiding key business initiatives for their companies. I’ve also observed an interesting trend across our customer base: As businesses become critically dependent on technology, and the world becomes more interconnected, CFOs are taking on an expanded role that includes cybersecurity management. Working closely with the tech team, CFOs need to be committed and willing to invest in securing their organizations as well as protecting their customer data. I see this only increasing in the future.” In addition to his responsibilities as Threat Stack’s CFO, Kevin contributes to the Threat Stack blog, where he writes about security and compliance issues, particularly as they relate to investors, board members, and C-Level executives.
